A brand new football club

We set up an U11’s team for the 2024-2025 season and now it’s time for an U9’s team

Players

We have a full squad of players for our Under 11’s team but now it’s time to build our Under 9’s team – which means we are on the lookout for football players who are currently in school year 4 (ages 8-9). Do get in touch as we are always actively seeking quality additions to bolster our squad.

Training

Training sessions are held on different days for each year group. Under 11’s train on Thursday evenings at Wykham Park (astro) and the Under 9’s train on Tuesday evenings at Wykham Park sports hall. In Spring and Summer, training for both teams will be at Horton View Sports Ground (grass).

Location

Under 9’s train at Wykham Park and play matches at The Grange Community Primary School (OX16 9YA).
Under 11’s train at Wykham Park and play matches at Horton View Sports Ground (OX16 9HR).

Kit & Sponsor

We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Tuthill Porsche for the 2024-25 season and have other sponsors lined up for our future teams. We are always on the lookout for further sponsorship from local companies.

FA Affiliation

We are affiliated with the Oxfordshire FA as a 1 Star Accredited Club and we play in the Witney & District Youth League. Player registration will continue through the full season.

Qualifications

As part of the affiliation process, we have a chair, secretary, managers, coaches and a welfare officer. We have completed the pre-requisite courses (FA playmaker, First Aid in football, Safeguarding Children and Welfare Officers Course), along with the necessary FA DBS checks.

About Our Club

Banbury Cross FC is a new football club set up for the 2024-25 football season. The initial set up was for an under 11 (year 6) team, playing in the Witney & District League. We are now setting up an Under 9 team.

Training sessions started in June 2024 and the season kicked off in September 2024. The new Under 9 team are due to begin training in January 2025.
